FIFA: contributions for the Women's World Cup goes from $15m (Canada 2015) to $50m (France 2019)

"The FIFA Council approved an overall financial contribution of $50m (€43.8m on 26/10/2018) to the 24 teams playing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 - more than tripling the amount paid in the 2015 edition ($15m / €13.4m on 05/07/2015, the day of the final)," announced FIFA at the end of its Council session organized in Kigali (Rwanda) on 26/10/2018.

The overall contribution is broken down as follows:
• An increase of 100% in prize money, which now totals $30m (€26.3m);
• The introduction of preparation money to support the qualified teams in organising preparatory matches before the competition, a fund which totals $11.52m (€10.11m);
• The introduction of a Club Benefits Programme to reward clubs releasing players for the competition. The total available pool is $8.48m (€7.44m).
