Russia: Spartak Moscow's new stadium, estimated at € 312m, will be inaugurated on the 24/07/2014

The construction of Spartak Moscow's (RUS) new stadium, the Otkritie Arena, will cost 14 billion roubles to the club, or € 312m, announced Leonid Fedun, the owner of Spartak, on the 02/01/2014.

The stadium, under construction since December 2010, should be delivered in July 2014, added Leonid Fedun. The 44,000-seat stadium will be inaugurated on the 24/07/2014. It is one of the 12 stadiums selected to host the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The Otkritie Arena will also host concerts.

Spartak Moscow have signed a naming contract with the Russian bank Otkritie in February 2013. The bank will pay € 4.8 million per year to the club over the 2013-2019 period. Otkritie is also the main shirt sponsor of Spartak since the beginning of the 2013-14 season.
