"Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha (THA), owner of Leicester City FC (Premier League), along with four others tragically lost his life on Saturday (27/10/2018). FIFA extends its deepest sympathies to their families and friends and to the many football fans for whom Vichai was an integral member of The Foxes family," said Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA via Twitter on 29/10/2018.

The helicopter, frequently used by Leicester City's chairman, took off from the centre of the pitch at the King Power Stadium, about an hour after the end of the Leicester City FC - West Ham (1-1, Matchday 10 of the Premier League) game, on Saturday 27/10/2018, between 19:30 and 19:45 local time (20:30 and 20:45 CET). The helicopter crashed shortly after in a car park near the stadium and immediately ignited.
