CAF: UEFA hosts training days for secretary generals from 11 federations in Windhoek (NAM)

The role and responsibility of a secretary general, good governance, financial planning, reporting and monitoring, personnel management, public funding, sponsorship, communication and player management issues, were among the main topics discussed at the UEFA training days led by European experts and attended by 11 secretary generals of African national federations (see list below), in Windhoek, Namibia, from 22 to 26/10/2018.

"The objective is to help secretary generals to be more professional and better organised. We are not here to tell them what they need to do, but to assist them and enable them to better manage their daily routines within their federation," explained Eve Pasquier, head of international relations at UEFA and head of the team of European experts.

"We didn't waste our time. The experts gave us a real set of tools that contain the key to our success. They taught us ways to deal with each situation and it was priceless," said Frederick Mngomezulu, a native of Eswatini, formerly Swaziland.
