"According to the early feedback from our distributors, we managed to maintain the same customer base that we had prior to the World Cup, that is to say 3.5 million subscribers, despite the loss of the European Cups," said Yousef Al-Obaidly, president of beIN Sports France and deputy managing director of beIN Media Group, exclusive to News Tank Football on 30/10/2018.

"We have significantly increased the value of the Ligue 1 international rights since we have been distributing them (since 2012). The LFP, like the other Leagues, is still hoping for more revenue and we are committed to working with them to achieve this. But increasing the value of a league is a long-term task," added Yousef Al-Obaidly.

"Since August 2017, beIN Media Group has been confronted with the most sophisticated and coordinated illegal piracy operation ever seen in our industry. This operation has been created, carried out and fully supported by Saudi Arabia," said the president of beIN Sports France, who answered questions from News Tank Football.
