"We have taken the decision to confirm today that all home games will be played at Wembley Stadium  (90,000 capacity) up to and including the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Premier League) on 29/12/2018," said Daniel Levy, president of the London club, on 26/10/2018. Tottenham's first game in the new stadium could therefore coincide with the reception of Manchester United FC (Matchday 22 of the 2018-19 Premier League season) on Sunday 13/01/2019.

Tottenham should have initially played their first official match in the new stadium versus Liverpool FC (Premier League) on 15/09/2018. The match was played at Wembley because of the discovery of security system failures in the new stadium.

The new ground built in place of White Hart Lane (36,200 capacity), the club's former stadium destroyed at the end of the 2016-17 season, is expected to reach a capacity of 62,062. The total cost of the investment is estimated at £850m (€965m on 01/02/2018).
