Tottenham to launch "Spurs Connect", an application that enables fans to play during matches

Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League, ENG) have launched the "Spurs Connect" app, in partnership with OneUp Games, a company developing mobile applications, on the 16/12/2013. The application, available for free on iPhone and iPad, offers a "second screen" experience to fans of the London based club. When Tottenham play a Premier League match, users of "Spurs Connect" are invited to predict an action or a game fact.

The app developers have added a social dimension to the experience, inviting users to connect through their Facebook account, to play against friends and talk to each other via a "Chat" function. For each match, users have a virtual game board to complete by bets on actions or game facts, on their smartphone or tablet. The ranking is based on the points gained by each user.

The betting is done through a token system. However, the application enables players to get more tokens via a paying service (between € 0.70 and 4.6).
