Sports betting: MGM Resorts (casinos) and FanDuel (fantasy leagues), new partners of the NHL

MGM Resorts, an American hotel and casino chain, and FanDuel, an American company specialised in fantasy leagues, have become the official sports betting partners of the National Hockey League as part of a "multiyear partnership," said the NHL on 29/10/2018 and 05/11/2018 respecitvely.

As part of the deal, "MGM will gain access to NHL intellectual property, including all trademarks, for marketing and promotion. MGM also will have access to real-time advanced game data that currently is being developed by the league," added the NHL on 29/10/2018. The NHL is the second major North American sports league to sign a sports betting partnership with MGM Resorts after the NBA (see below).

FanDuel will be able to offer its customers exclusive NHL content as well as real-time information.
