FIFA: EBU acquires TV rights for 13 competitions including 2019 Women's World Cup in 38 countries

The EBU (European Broadcasting Union) has extended its broadcasting rights to "other FIFA events", in 38 countries (see list below), until 2022, on 08/11/2018.

The new agreement includes a total of 13 competitions, including the 2019 Women's World Cup held in France from 07/06 to 07/07/2018, as well as the Youth World Cups (men's and women's), until 2022. The EBU has held these rights since 2007.

The EBU also acquired the broadcasting rights, for 37 countries, to the 2018 World Cup (Russia) and the 2022 World Cup (Qatar) on 02/04/2012.

  • The 38 countries covered by the agreement are: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.
