Bundesliga: clubs receive an average of €2.45m from shirt sleeve sponsorships in 2018-19 (+11.3%)

17 (out of 18) Bundesliga clubs have a sleeve sponsor for the 2018-19 season, as of 12/11/2018 (1.FSV Mainz 05 does not have a sleeve sponsor in 2018-19). On average, Bundesliga clubs receive €2.45m in annual funding from sleeve sponsors, an average based on 16 clubs, as the German company Godelmann (concrete surfaces) has not reported the value of its partnership with 1. FC Nürnberg. This average is up (+11.3%) compared to 2017-18 (€2.2m).

FC Bayern Munich has the highest value contract, receiving almost €10m per season from Qatar Airways, the successor to Hamad International Airport (a Qatar-based airport managed by Qatar Airways) since 2018-19, for the 2018-2023 cycle. Borussia Dortmund, which receives €7.8m from Opel (German car manufacturer) and FC Schalke 04, which receives €5.5m from Allyouneed Fresh (German online supermarket), complete the podium.

Fortuna Dusseldorf and SC Freiburg are the two clubs which receive the lowest value contracts from their respective sponsors, Toyo Tires (Japanese tyre manufacturer) and Badenova (German energy company), at €0.3m each.
