Bundesliga: FC Schalke 04 launches training project for young coaches in Vietnam

FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga) and the Football Club Social Alliance (FCSA), which combines several European football clubs (see below), are launching a project to train young coaches in Vietnam, according to the German club on 05/11/2018.

"In cooperation with 'Football for All Vietnam', an NGO partner of the FCSA locally, 40 young adults will be trained by FC Schalke 04 and FSV Mainz 05 (Bundesliga) as coaches so that they can then offer structured activities and football training to young children in their communities. At the same time, they will act as role models for these children and provide them with practical knowledge and social values during their journey," explained the Gelsenkirchen (North Rhine-Westphalia) club. The training is composed of three modules and the second will take place in the spring of 2019.

"In this first module, the emphasis is on educational games where young coaches learn to communicate in a fun way with children on topics such as, drug addiction or the fight against discrimination. A football tournament is also being organised with 120 children," added…
