Spain: creation of "Spain Sports Global", promoting the international development of Spanish sport

The "Spain Sports Global" organisation, which will be responsible for promoting the international development of Spanish sport, was officially launched at the headquarters of the National Council of Sports (CSD) in Madrid (ESP) on 13/11/2018.

"Spain Sports Global will work to provide support and assistance to Federations in the capture of major international sporting events that generate significant economic, social, sporting and cultural benefits for the country, which will also mean an increase in commercial and business opportunities," said LaLiga, which will contribute to the financing of the organisation, the launch of which was initiated by the Spanish Sports Association (ADESP).

"Spain has a great capacity for organising sporting events, proof of this is that in the four months that I have been in office I have attended three World Cups and four European Championships in our country.
