LaLiga Santander: RCD Espanyol opens an academy in Stockholm (SWE) its first in Europe outside Spain

Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) have opened an RCDE Academy in Stockholm (Sweden), its first in a European country outside of Spain, according to the club on 16/11/2018.

"Sergi Angulo (former RCDE youth team coach) will be the responsible director instructed by RCD Espanyol to provide the methodology of the blanquiazul (white and blue, colours of the club), in the training centre of the Swedish capital. It is also planned that the members of this newly created academy will stay in Barcelona at the facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque (the club's training ground named in memory of the late Espanyol captain) with official technical staff of the club," said the club.

The academy in the Swedish capital is the club's eleventh abroad, after those in New Jersey, Miami and Los Angeles (United States), Ajman (United Arab Emirates), Baghdad (Iraq), Saitama (Japan), Algiers and Blida (Algeria), Hunan and Yunnan (China).
