FC Barcelona: a competition "to identify innovative projects aimed at transforming sports tourism"

The Barça Innovation Hub, the centre for knowledge and sports innovation of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), in partnership with the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), a United Nations institution designed to promote and develop tourism, is launching the "Sports Tourism Startup Competition" competition, which aims to identify innovative projects aimed at transforming the sports tourism sector," said the Catalan club, on 15/11/2018.

"The first World Sports Startups Sports Competition is seeking emerging companies with breakthrough ideas focused on the responsible resolution of real needs and the lack of knowledge on the growing sports tourism sector," said FC Barcelona.

At the end of the application phase, five companies will be pre-selected by a group of sports and tourism experts. They will present their project at the Mobile World Congress, which will take place in Barcelona (ESP), from 25 to 28/02/2019.
