UEFA: Europa League 2 on the Executive Committee's agenda in Dublin (IRL) on 02-03/12/2018

The "UEFA club competitions - 2021-24 cycle format and access list" is one of the items on the agenda at the UEFA Executive Committee meeting at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin (Republic of Ireland), on Sunday 02/12 (17-19:00 local time, 18-20:00 CET) and Monday 03/12/2018 (09-12:00/10-13:00 CET). UEFA should announce the creation in 2021-22 of a third European cup, the "UEFA Europa League 2" (UEL 2).

During the General Assembly of the European Leagues held in Frankfurt (Germany) on 18 and 19/10/2018 "the Leagues welcomed the new innovative three tier competition format (UCL/UEL /UEL2 with 32 clubs each) proposed by UEFA which will allow more clubs from more National Associations to participate in European club competitions," stated European Leagues on 18-19/10/2018.

Additionally, European Leagues proposed that the financial "distribution ratio between the 3 competitions be reduced.
