Bundesliga: VfL Wolfsburg partners with Orlando City SC (Major League Soccer)

VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) and Orlando City Soccer Club (MLS) have entered into a partnership that will see them collaborate on "men's and women's football, youth academies, infrastructure and marketing and sales," announced the two clubs on 16/11/2018.

"We have high hopes for this inaugural partnership with an MLS club. We intend to lend our expertise in all areas, but we can also learn a lot from how US clubs are structured. I was able to experience first-hand how professional and creative the Americans are during my time in the USA. We're delighted to be working with Orlando City and Orlando Pride (women's team)," said Marcel Schäfer, sporting director at VfL Wolfsburg. "It is becoming increasingly important for the international development of our club to network with suitable partners in order to establish sustainable relationships in the respective regions," said Michael Meeske, managing director of the German club.
