Bundesliga: the DFL will remove, from 2021-22, the five matches per season scheduled on Monday

The Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH (DFL) announced the elimination of the five matches per season scheduled on a Monday, from 2021-22, after a meeting of 18 Bundesliga clubs and a unanimous decision taken in September 2018, said the German League, via the social network Twitter, on 21/11/2018.

These five games per season scheduled on Monday evening will therefore be reprogrammed to Sunday, from 2021-22, the first season of the new TV rights cycle. Since 2017-18, five matches per season are moved to Sunday at 13:30 (CET) and five others to Monday at 20:30 for clubs playing in Europa League on Thursday, and who had asked not to have a domestic league match two days later, on Saturday.

For the 2017-2021 cycle, the pay-TV group Eurosport hold Lot A, which includes 40 Bundesliga games on Friday evening (20:30), Sunday (13.30) and Monday evening (20:30) (see full distribution of TV rights below).
