Nigeria: Nike extends as the equipment supplier of the national men's and women's teams (2018-2022)

Nike, the American sportswear brand, has extended as the official supplier of the NFF (Nigerian Football Federation) for four years, until the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, according to the Federation on 21/11/2018.

"This four (years) plus four (additional years) deal is the best any African country has ever had with Nike," said Amaju Melvin Pinnick, president of the NFF, on 21/11/2018. The could be extended for another four years (2022-2026) until the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

"Most terms of the agreement as presently constituted would improve should the Super Eagles make a huge impact at the 2022 FIFA World Cup," said the NFF. Nike replaced adidas, the previous equipment supplier of the Nigerian national team, on 23/04/2015. While Nike's allocation to the Federation was estimated at €5.5m in 2015, the NFF states that the financial terms of the agreement have been expanded to include the Nigeria women's team in the partnership.
