Serie A TIM: AS Roma the first European club to open an Instagram account in Arabic

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) has become the first European club to open an Instagram account in Arabic, according to club on 20/11/2018.

"Less than a month after crossing the two million follower landmark on the official club Instagram (2,100,700 on 22/11/2018), Roma's Arabic account celebrated its arrival on the platform with an iconic Totti selfie (see below)," added the Italian club.

"Instagram has become much more than a photo-sharing platform for Roma. With Instagram Stories, we are now communicating news through the site and having listened to feedback from our Arabic users, we have decided to remove a language barrier that was making it hard for many fans to engage with the club," said Paul Rogers, head of digital at AS Roma. The club's official Instagram account in Arabic has 3,761 subscribers as of 23/11/2018.
