Atlético de Madrid: strategic partnership with Tata Group to develop football in India

Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander) have signed a strategic partnership with the Indian industrial group Tata, which aims to develop football in India, according to the club on 21/11/2018.

As part of the partnership, "Tata Atlético de Madrid" academies will be set up in several Indian cities. These academies will be managed by trainers from Atletico de Madrid, who will be responsible for setting up the club's working methods. The Madrid club will also participate in "a plan to professionalise the players and the structure of Jamshedpur FC, property of Tata Steel, who compete in the Indian Super League (ISL), and give technical and sporting advice to the first team," explained the Spanish club.

"Within this strategic agreement, a group of young Indian talents will be selected to form part of a long-term international training programme to be carried out by Atlético de Madrid in the Spanish capital.
