Premier League: Acronis (IT) becomes a global partner of Manchester City FC from 2018-19

Acronis, a Swiss company specialised in computer storage and data protection, has become the "Official Data Backup and Storage Partner" of Manchester City FC (Premier League) as part of a "multi-year" agreement, announced the club on 26/11/2018.

Acronis has the status of global partner, the first level in the club's sponsorship hierarchy. "Manchester City will explore opportunities to work with the Acronis Foundation. The foundation provides equitable education around the world through building schools in developing countries," said the brand and club.

"Technology, data in particular, is increasingly important to teams in this ever-developing digital age. So much so, that during the days leading up to important matches, data is available through iPads in the Manchester City locker room so that players can review historical data with their coaches and make last-minute adjustments to the playbook. It is also vital for the team to analyse data in their post-match analysis," said Acronis.
