Copa Libertadores: River-Boca return leg final to be played outside of Argentina on 08 or 09/12/2018

The second leg of the CONMEBOL Libertadores (new name of the Copa Libertadores) final between Club Atlético River Plate (ARG) and Club Atlético Boca Juniors (ARG), which was postponed following violent incidents and the stoning of the Boca Juniors bus on Saturday 24/11/2018 in Buenos Aires (ARG), will take place on neutral ground outside Argentina, after a decision made by the South American football confederation, in Asunción (PAR) on 27/11/2018.

"It's safer for the match not to be played in Argentina. The final will be played on Saturday 08 or Sunday 09/12/2018, in a place to be defined by the CONMEBOL," announced the South American body via Twitter.

After the first leg (2-2), played at the Bombonera (Boca Juniors stadium) on 10/11/2018, River Plate and Boca Juniors were to play the return-leg at the Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti (River Plate stadium), in Buenos Aires (ARG).
