Hertha BSC: a record turnover (€152.9m, +36%) and net profit (€4.1m) in 2017-18

Hertha Berliner Fußball Club (Bundesliga) posted a record turnover of €152.9m for the 2017-18 financial year (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), up 36% compared to 2016-17 (€112.3m), according to the club during its general assembly on 26/11/2018.

This increase is mainly due to the entry of the Bundesliga clubs into a new TV rights cycle (2017-2021), which allowed the Hertha BSC to post €59.3m (+€25.5m compared to 2016-17) for this source of revenue. The Berlin club also posted a record net profit of €4.1m in 2017-18, compared to a net loss of €7.6m the previous season.

Hertha BSC also announced that it has repurchased the American investment fund KKR's minority stake in the club (9.7% acquired in 2014), via a bond issue (see below).
