Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt launches into the Chinese market with a Beijing subsidiary

Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga) has opened a subsidiary in China in the city of Beijing with the purpose of serving "the Chinese market with German football know-how," from 01/12/2018, announced the club on 26/11/2018.

Eintracht Frankfurt Football (Beijing) Co., Ltd. is a "WFOE" (Wholly Foreign-Owned Enterprise, see below), and "roughly corresponds to the legal conditions in a German GmbH (limited company), enabling the Bundesliga club to become economically active in China and to employ Chinese or foreign workers directly in China," added Eintracht. The management of the subsidiary will be entrusted to Li Xin (CHN), a 52-year-old German-speaking woman who has "previously worked for German organisations in sport, business and politics for several years."

"The official market entry in China is the next step in our internationalisation strategy. We are therefore bundling our various activities in China and creating administrative facilities to further expand our projects.
