Eleven Sports: launch of "Watch Together" allowing simultaneous group viewings of matches remotely

The UK audio-visual group Eleven Sports are to launch "Watch Together" a new feature that allows fans to watch live matches with their friends and family, remotely and simultaneously, according to the group on 29/11/2018.

"Eleven Sports subscribers will be able to create a 'room' and invite up to four fans to share the emotion of watching a live sports event. Those in the room will be able to see, hear and chat while watching the live action, enabling them to debate the talking points and celebrate every goal as if they were all together. The person who sets up the room can invite others by simply sharing a link by text, WhatsApp, email or on social media," said Eleven Sports who will offer the service to subscribers at no additional cost.

The feature was designed by the British company Reactoo, which specialises in simultaneous multi-channel TV broadcasting. "Eleven Sports plans to roll out Watch Together in its international OTT (over-the-top) markets, with a trial period expected to launch in the coming weeks," added the group.
