World Leagues Forum: Christian Seifert (GER) elected chairman, succeeds Richard Scudamore (ENG)

Christian Seifert (GER), CEO of the DFL (Deutsche Fußball Liga), has been elected chairman of the World Leagues Forum (WFL) at the organization's annual meeting, which brought together 38 professional football leagues around the world in Mexico City (MEX) on 30/11/2018.

Seifert succeeds Richard Scudamore (ENG), executive chairman of the Premier League, who has resigned his post (Susanna Dinnage will succeed Richard Scudamore as head of the English first division in early 2019).

"International federations must not appropriate the calendar for their competitions," stated Christian Seifert.

Don Garber (USA), commissioner of MLS (Major League Soccer), joins Enrique Bonilla (MEX), executive president of the Liga Bancomer MX, as vice-chairmen of the World League Forum. The chairman and the two vice-chairmen form the management structure of the organization.
