International Olympic Committee: Samsung (electronics) extends as a Top Partner until 2028

Samsung, a South Korean electronics group, has extended as a Top Partner of the IOC until 2028, on 04/12/2018. "Samsung will continue as the Worldwide Olympic Partner in the wireless communications equipment and computing equipment category," said the IOC.

Samsung's partnership, began in 1998 with the Nagano (JPN) Olympic Winter Games, and was originally scheduled to end in 2020. The group has extended with the IOC for eight years, two Olympiads. During the quadrennial cycle 2021-2024, each TOP Partner pays an amount valued at $200m (€176m on 04/12/2018), or $50m per year (€44m). "Samsung will also continue as a Worldwide Partner of the International Paralympic Committee, extending a relationship that began in 2006," continued the IOC.
