2018-19 Supercoppa Italiana: Juventus - AC Milan scheduled in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on 16/01/2019

The 31^st edition of the Supercoppa Italiana between Juventus FC, the 2017-18 Italian champions and AC Milan, finalists of the 2017-18 Coppa Italia (defeated in the final by Juventus, 4-0, on 09/05/2018), will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on Wednesday 16/01/2019 (kick-off at 20:30 local time, 18:30 CET), according to the Lega Serie A on 05/12/2018.

An agreement signed in Zurich (SUI) between Marco Brunelli, CEO of Lega Serie A, and Turki bin Abdel Muhsin Al-Asheikh, president of the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia, provides for the organisation in Saudi Arabia of three of the next five editions of the Supercoppa Italiana, including the 2018-19 edition "between 12 and 16/01/2019," announced the Lega Serie A, organiser of the competition, on 06/06/2018. The two Saudi Arabian cities Riyadh and Jeddah were considered.

The overall agreement between the Lega Serie A and the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia is worth €20m payable by 2021, according to Italian media. Each participating club should receive between €3 to €3.5m.
