FC Barcelona: Spanish justice to investigate a complaint for "misappropriation" of Neymar

The Spanish justice has decided to investigate a complaint against Sandro Rosell, president of FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) for "misappropriation" of the Brazilian player Neymar, on the 10/01/2014.

The international "auriverde" player was transferred to Barcelona, from the Brazilian club of Santos on the 03/06/2013, for € 57 million. Of this amount, € 17 million went to Santos, the remaining € 40 million were paid to DIS, TEISA (Terceira Estrela Investimentos SA) and N&N, the companies holding a part of the economic rights of the player. But the Spanish club refused to disclose full details, for "privacy reasons."

Jordi Cases, a Catalan socio of the club and opposed to Sandro Rosell, had filed a complaint with the Spanish Justice in December 2013 to force the managers of Barça to reveal the exact destination of those 40 M €. Pablo Ruz, judge of the Nacional Audience, Spain's highest criminal court has ordered FC Barcelona to hand over the documents related to Neymar's transfer as well as details of their financial records for 2011, 2012 and 2013, during which the negotiations took place…
