2019 Women's World Cup: EDF (energy) fifth French national supporter of the competition

EDF, a French energy supplier, has become a partner of the 2019 Women's World Cup in France, announced FIFA and the Local Organizing Committee (COL) on 06/12/2018. EDF becomes the fifth "national supporter" of the competition, after Arkema (chemistry), SNCF (rail transport), Crédit Agricole (bank) and Proman (human resources).

EDF has the status of "national supporter", the second level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the competition. "As a national supporter, the energy company will benefit from extensive brand exposure before and during the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019, as well as from a bespoke ticketing and hospitality package and usage of selected FIFA marks and footage," said the international football body.

EDF has been a partner of the French Football Federation (FFF) since 2014. As a major partner of the FFF (first level), EDF accompanies the Federation until 2023 following the extension of the partnership on 20/04/2018.
