Ligue 1 Conforama: "The contract with DAZN in Brazil brings us €5m per year" (Didier Quillot, LFP)

"In South America, a territory that is quite natural for French football due to the many South Americans in our championships, we signed a partnership with DAZN a week ago in Brazil for the broadcast of Ligue 1. €5m a year from this season until 2021," says Didier Quillot, CEO of the LFP, to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 11/12/2018.

The UK OTT platform DAZN has announced its launch in Brazil from March 2019, on 29/11/2018. DAZN has acquired the broadcasting rights, in Brazel, to the Ligue 1 Conforama and Serie A TIM for the 2018-2021 cycle, as well as those of the Copa Sudamericana from 2019 and for four seasons.

"(Our development priority for 2019) is the international side, with better exposure of our Ligue 1 product. We opened an office in Beijing (China) in 2017, organized the Trophée des Champions (French Super Cup) in Shenzhen, China in 2018 and it will be played there again in 2019.
