Visa to extend partnership with FIFA until the 2022 World Cup

American leading global electronic payments company Visa has extended its partnership with FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) until 2022, the body announced on the 14/01/2014. Both parties are bound since 2007. The contract is estimated at € 15.5 million.

The extension of the agreement allows Visa to remain FIFA's exclusive partner in their category for the World Cups 2018 in Russia and 2022 in Qatar. The contract also includes more than 40 events organised by the International body, including the women's World Cup and U20 World Cup.

Visa’s huge global network and engaging consumer programmes play a significant role in bringing the FIFA World Cup to all corners of the globe, and we’re delighted to have such a strong global brand by our side until at least 2022," said FIFA President, Joseph Blatter.
