Premier League: Tottenham Hotspur FC further postpones entry into new stadium

Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) versus Manchester United FC (Premier League), counting for Matchday 22 of the 2018-19 Premier League season, on Sunday 13/01/2019, will take place at Wembley Stadium (90,000 capacity), according to the London club, on 12/12/2018. The match should have been Tottenham's first official match in its new stadium, which is yet to be tested due to the discovery of problems with safety systems in August 2018.

"The past few months have been spent rectifying issues with the critical safety systems. We are pleased to report that progress has been steady and we are now into the integrated testing and commissioning phases that take place ahead of the application for a stadium safety certificate. Testing is being conducted both during the day and night and our contractors will continue to work during the Christmas period. Barring no further significant issues we should then be in a position to schedule Test Events," said the Tottenham Hotspur who will communicate again on the issue at the beginning of January 2019.
