Premier League: the average price of a match ticket is £31 (€34.50) in 2018-19

"The cost of attending a Premier League match this season is £30 (€33.37 on 14/12/2018) or less for the majority of fans, with the average ticket price being £31 (€34.50)," said the Premier League, as part of a study conducted in collaboration with the audit and consulting firm EY (Ernst & Young) which used data provided directly by the 20 clubs of the English league, published on 12/12/2018.

The study also revealed that "more than half of tickets sold are done so at less than the full listed price because of concessions and discounting. For season tickets alone supporters make a total saving of more than £13m (€14.45m, compared to the individual purchase of a full fare ticket for each game of the season) because of early-bird deals, renewals or long-term purchase offers," added the Premier League.

"The hard work of clubs to fill their grounds combined with the loyalty of fans has led to record attendances across the Premier League, with stadium utilisation at 96% for four consecutive seasons. Clubs have a range of ticket prices and there is some excellent value on offer…
