CONMEBOL: Facebook, Globo, SporTV, Fox Sports, DAZN & DirecTV win Libertadores & Sudamericana rights

The social network Facebook, the Brazilian free-TV channel Globo and the pay-TV package SporTV (both subsidiaries of the Brazilian audiovisual group Globo), the pay-TV operator Fox Sports, the British OTT platform DAZN and the pay-TV group DirecTV, will share the broadcasting rights of the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana, in South America, for the 2019-2022 cycle (four seasons), according to CONMEBOL on 14/12/2018.

The CONMEBOL Libertadores will be broadcast in Brazil by Fox Sports, Facebook, Globo and SportTV; and in other South American countries by Facebook and Fox Sports (see details below). The CONMEBOL Sudamericana will be broadcast by DAZN in Brazil and by DirecTV in the Spanish-speaking countries of South America.

Most of these deals have been announced by CONMEBOL and/or the broadcasters concerned in recent weeks.
