Ligue 1 Conforama: Olympique de Marseille becomes sole manager of the Orange Velodrome

"Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Conforama) is pleased to announce that after the municipal council meeting of 20/12/2018 and the signing today (22/12/2018) of the operating contract with the company Arema, the club has become the sole manager of the Orange Velodrome stadium (65,252 capacity)," announced the club on 22/12/2018.

Arema has been the operator of the Orange Vélodrome since the renovation of the stadium (started in 2011 and completed in 2014), as part of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract signed in November 2010.

"The club wishes to thank the City of Marseille and the Arema company for their collaboration in the signing of this historic agreement. The Orange Vélodrome thus becomes the real home of OM, where our team communicates with its audience and reinforces this identity," added OM.

The owner of the stadium, the City of Marseille receives from the club, since 2017-18, a rent which is based on a fixed part of €5m and a variable part which caps the total amount paid at €9m, calculated according to the sporting results, ticketing results, signage and…
