Lille: friendly match between Portugal and Cameroon at Pierre-Mauroy Stadium, on the 05/03/2014

The Portuguese national team will play against the Cameroonian selection on the 05/03/2014, at Pierre-Mauroy Stadium in Lille (50,000 seats) in a friendly match in preparation for the 2014 World Cup, announced the FPF (Portuguese Football Federation), on the 08/01/2014.

The match is organised by Fame Sport, a company specialised in official games organisation, whose founder is Alexandre Ribeiro, accredited FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) agent. The choice of Lille allows the team captained by Cristiano Ronaldo, recent FIFA Ballon d’Or 2013 winner, to "strengthen its proximity to the large Portuguese community in the world," declared the Lusitanian Federation. Pierre-Mauroy Stadium was competing with several European stadiums to host this meeting.

The rent of Lille’s stadium is less than €350,000 for the match. Elisa, the operating company owned by Eiffage, will manage hospitality areas during the event.
