Bundesliga: Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, executive board chairman of FC Bayern Munich until 31/12/2021

"The FC Bayern München AG supervisory board and executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have reached an agreement to extend their cooperation by a further two years, until 31/12/2021," announced the Bavarian club on 21/12/2018.

"My colleagues on the supervisory board and I are very pleased that we've been able to agree an early extension to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's contract. Over the last 16 years, he has shown formidable quality in his position, and we're sure that he’s the right man to successfully lead FC Bayern München AG in the coming year," said Uli Hoeneß, chairman of the supervisory board of the reigning German champions.

"I've held the position of executive board chairman since the footballing department of FC Bayern München e.V. was separated into the newly founded FC Bayern München AG (2002). During this time, we've managed to establish FC Bayern as a sporting and financial power in Europe.
