Premier League: Susanna Dinnage withdraws from taking chief executive position

Susanna Dinnage, who was to take the role of chief executive of the Premier League in early 2019, has withdrawn from the post, announced the English first division on Sunday, 30/12/2018.

"Despite her commitment to the Premier League in early November 2018, Susanna Dinnage has now advised the Nominations Committee that she will not be taking up the position of Chief Executive. The Committee has reconvened its search and is talking to candidates. There will be no further comment until an appointment is made," stated the Premier League.

Susanna Dinnage was announced for the role on 13/11/2018. On the same day the Premier League clubs formally decided to split in two the role of Richard Scudamore (current chairman and chief executive). Richard Scudamore was scheduled to leave both roles on 31/12/2018; the Premier League has made no update as to his status.
