Chelsea FC: record turnover (£443.4m, +22.7%) and net profit (£62m) in 2017-18

Chelsea FC (Premier League) posted a record turnover of £443.4m (€500.4m on 30/06/2018) for the financial year 2018 (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), up 22.7% from 2017 (£361.3m/€410.9m), announced the club on 31/12/2018.

"The record revenues, as well as a profit on player sales of £113.0m (€127.5m), helped the club achieve a record-high profit for the year, after tax, of £62m (€70m). These results ensure the club continues to comply with UEFA's break-even criteria under the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations," said Chelsea FC.

"Broadcasting revenues increased by £41.7m (£47m) to £204.1m (€230.4m), primarily as a result of the club returning to the UEFA Champions League competition in the year. Stamford Bridge (40,853 capacity) continued to sell out on matchdays and, despite ticket prices remaining frozen at 2011-12 levels, the club's participation in the Champions League helped achieve an overall increase in matchday revenues of £8.4m (€9.5m) in 2017-18.
