Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (January 2019)

The 18 clubs involved in the 2018-19 Bundesliga season have more than 115 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2019. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on these three social networks, behind LaLiga Santander, the Premier League and Serie A TIM, with an average of nearly 6.4 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most popular German club with 68.8 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund with 25 million fans. FC Schalke 04 completes the Bundesliga podium with over 4.1 million fans.

Borussia Dortmund was the fastest-growing German club on Instagram in December 2018 (+357,600 followers), ahead of FC Bayern Munich (+275,300). The Bavarian club also experienced the best growth in absolute value on Facebook (+299,360 likes) and Twitter (+18,597 followers on its main account).
