NHL: launch of the "NHL Skill" feature on Alexa, Amazon's voice assistant, in the USA and Canada

The NHL has launched, in the United States and Canada, "NHL skill", a feature for Amazon Alexa, a voice assistant developed by Amazon, "to deliver news, schedules, scores, stats, standings, tune-in information, player profiles and puck drop reminders for each of the NHL's 31 clubs," said the League on 19/12/2018. "The NHL is the first major North American professional sports league to offer detailed player profiles for Alexa-enabled devices with screens," added the League.

Available on all compatible devices, the feature can be customised via simple voice control. "Alexa-enabled devices with screens like the Echo Show and Echo Spot will offer crisp and bright visuals featuring team logos, broadcast information and player imagery," continued the NHL.

People using "NHL skill" will have access, through a list of voice commands (see below), to information updated daily by the League.
