Liga: FC Barcelona and Neymar to deny the accusations of the Spanish court for "simulated contract"

"I know that a lot is being said about my contract. My father was the one who signed the contracts and he is someone in whom I have total trust. There is nothing illegal. In any case, if anyone has any doubts, they should ask my dad because I'm concentrating on my job, which is playing football," said Neymar, the Brazilian forward of FC Barcelona (Liga, ESP), about the charges of "simulated contract" against Barca and Sandro Rosell, president of the club, to the Catalan daily Sport, on the 15/01/2014.

The Spanish court has decided to investigate a complaint against Sandro Rosell, on the 10/01/2014, for "simulated contract" for the player transferred to Catalonia in the summer of 2013 from Brazilian club Santos, against € 57m.

"It seems strange indeed that the prosecutor’s office, having asked for the players’ contracts and the annual accounts of the club, it should now decide to instigate further action without showing any interest in the defendants (Sandro Rosell). It is also hard to understand why the prosecutor has called on entities such as FIFA or Santos FC to present documents…
