The 2018 NFL regular season games drew an average audience of 15.8 million TV viewers per game in the US, the NFL announced on 02/01/2019. This figure is up 5% after two consecutive years of decline:
• 2017: 14.9 million (+5% between 2018 and 2017)
• 2016: 16.5 million (-9.7% between 2017 and 2016)
• 2015: 17.9 million (-8% between 2016 and 2015)

Average audiences by time slot are:
• Thursday night games on Fox (free-TV) and NFL Network (pay-TV): 14.9 million (+4% vs 2017)
• Sunday night games on NBC (free-TV): 19.3 million (+6% vs 2017)
• Monday night ESPN games (pay-TV): 11.6 million (+8% vs 2017)
• Sunday afternoon games on Fox (free-TV): 18 million (+2% vs 2017)
• Sunday afternoon games on CBS (free-TV): 16.5 million (+6% vs 2017)

The NFL had 46 of the top 50 TV audiences across all programming in the USA during the 2018 season (September to December), and the average internet streaming audience is up 86% over the 2017 season, added the North American league.
