Brazil: Grêmio installs a jersey vending machine at the Porto Alegre airport

The Brazilian club Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense (Brasileirão Chevrolet, Serie A) has installed a vending machine at the Salgado Filho Airport in Porto Alegre (BRA) which allows fans to acquire a jersey of the club, indicated Grêmio on 26/12/2018.

The distributor, called "Máquina Tricolor Express" (with "Tricolor" being a nickname of Gremio whose colors are blue, white and black), was developed in partnership with the Brazilian company Wise Tecno de Curitiba, a manufacturer of vending machines. "The device was launched experimentally in September 2018 during the banquet marking the 115^th anniversary of Grêmio. At the time, the initiative was a success, with the 80 jerseys on sale purchased inside of one hour," said the club based in Porto Alegre.

The "Máquina Tricolor Express" operates similarly to a beverage dispenser, and only allows payment by credit card. "The vending machine is strategically located in the entrance area for an experimental period of 90 days, and the experience can be extended based on public feedback," added Grêmio.
