Serie A: Dutchman Clarence Seedorf new manager of Milan AC

Former Dutch international Clarence Seedorf (86 caps, 11 goals) has been appointed manager of Milan AC (Serie A) on the 16/01/2014. He takes over Massimiliano Allegri, sacked by the Milan club, on the 13/01/2014.

Milan AC player between 2002 and 2012, Clarence Seedorf ended his sporting career after two seasons at Botafogo (Serie A, Brazilian first division), on the 14/01/2014. "I am retiring from football after 22 years", said the new manager of Milan AC, on the 14/01/2014. "My experience will help me a lot in my next step, which will be as coach of Milan. Given my relationship with president Berlusconi, when he called me yesterday, I couldn't say no."

Clarence Seedorf becomes the first black manager in the history of Serie A.
