Golf: Twitter renews and extends its PGA Tour digital broadcast rights from 2019

The social network Twitter has renewed and extended its digital rights to broadcast the PGA Tour, the North American men's professional golf circuit, as part of a "multi-year agreement" beginning during the 2019 season, announced the PGA Tour on 07/01/2019.

The broadcast now includes the first 60 to 90 minutes of the first four rounds of each tournament, from Thursday to Sunday. The Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego, California, will be the first tournament to be broadcast on Twitter in this format from 24 to 27/01/2019. Twitter extended its digital broadcasting rights for the PGA Tour for the 2018 season on 26/09/2017. The broadcast included the first 60 to 90 minutes of the first two rounds of each tournament, on Thursday and Friday mornings. Twitter obtained the same rights for 2017, on 05/01/2017.
