Serie BKT: 7,053 spectators on average per game after the first half of the 2018-19 season

The Serie BKT has posted an average of 7,053 spectators per game at the end of the first half of the 2018-19 season, according to the Lega Serie B on 31/12/2018.

"This average was exceeded twice during the Christmas season, with 7,520 spectators per game during Matchday 18 (on 26 and 27/12/2018) and 7,168 on Matchday 19 (30/12/2018). This data confirms that playing at Christmas was a good choice," added the Italian professional football league.

The 19 Serie BKT clubs drew a total of 1,206,136 spectators during the first 19 matchdays of the season. Benevento Calcio leads the attendance ranking with an average of 11,128 spectators at mid-season. US Lecce follow with 10,445 spectators, then Hellas Verona FC (10,287) and Foggia Calcio (10,243).

At the end of the 2017-18 season, the Serie BKT (then composed of 22 clubs, versus 19 in 2018-19) posted an average of 6,930 spectators per game.
