Deportivo Alavés: a record turnover of €60.1m (+9.6%) and net profit of €1.1m in 2017-18

Deportivo Alavès (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €60.1m for the financial year 2018 (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), an increase of 9.6% compared to the financial year 2017 (€54.9m), according to the club at the end of its shareholders' general assembly on 27/12/2018.

This turnover figure is the highest in the history of the Basque club, which has not yet disclosed the breakdown of its 2017-18 revenues. Deportivo Alavés' net profit amounted to €1.1m, down significantly from 2016-17 (€10m). This decrease can partly be explained by expenses being higher than expected (€59m), mainly due to a double change of head coach during the season.

The financial year 2018 is the seventh consecutive year in which the club has made a profit. The club's projected budget for 2018-19, approved by the shareholders, amounts to €63.6m (+5.8%), with a stable net profit (€1.1m).
