United States: TV audiences of European matches (December 2018)

Please find in the infographic below the TV audiences, in the United States, of the matches of the Top 5 European Leagues (Premier League, LaLiga Santander, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 Conforama), the Champions League and Europa League, during the month of December 2018.

The Premier League is the European league with the best exposure in the United States, with an average of at least one game per matchday broadcast on the free English language channel NBC. 250 matches per season of the Premier League are broadcast on linear channels (English or Spanish) from the NBCUniversal group, holder of the rights to the Premier League in the United States, over the 2016-2022 period, for an estimated $167m (€148m) per season. The other 130 Premier League matches are broadcast exclusively in OTT.

The Qatari pay-TV group beIN Sports USA broadcasts LaLiga Santander (rights until 2019-20) as well as Ligue 1 Conforama (international rights until 2023-24). The US pay-TV group Fox Sports owns the Bundesliga broadcast rights (until 2019-20), while ESPN has acquired the rights to the Serie A…
